About your accommodation

Les Balances Apartment is located right in the centre of Chamonix on the pedestrian high street, and overlooks the main square. This is possibly the best location for accommodation in Chamonix where you can soak up the atmosphere of this buzzing alpine town. The apartment is on the 4th floor and has two balconies facing down the high street and towards the town hall and church. Les Balances Apartment has three bedrooms - 2 double and 1 small bunk room, as well as 1 bathroom and a separate second toilet. The open plan living room of this accommodation in Chamonix has a dining table and 6 chairs, plus a sofa and armchair to comfortably seat 4, as well as TV with French channels. The recently fitted kitchen is well-equipped with full size oven and dishwasher, plus washing machine. The two balconies lead off the kitchen and the lounge, and there are two chairs on the lounge balcony too. The apartment is equipped with wifi internet access. Skis etc. can be stored on the balcony and boots under the stairs.

Being centrally located, you have everything on your doorstep, and the nearest ski lifts (Brevent and le Savoy) are also a short 5 minute walk.

Les Balances Apartment is located on the pedestrian high street of Chamonix. The restaurants and shops are all right on your doorstep, and the nearest large supermarket is only 150m away. The nearest ski slopes to this accommodation in Chamonix town centre are less than 500m at Le Savoy nursery slopes, which also give direct access to the Brevent ski area, while the nearest bus stop to Les Balances Apartment is only 250m away for access throughout the valley.

Late check-in after hours
Check-in is possible until midnight, but please try to arrive before 9pm. For those arriving after 9pm there is a 30€ late check-in fee, which must be paid on arrival at your Chamonix Accommodation.

Travel cots & high chairs / booster seats can be hired through us for £35 to include cot mattress, bed linen and a towel. You can add this to your booking at the time of booking.

Pets are unfortunately not allowed at this property.

  • If you are staying for 2 weeks or more you will have a mid-stay linen change. Mid-stay cleaning can also be added at an extra charge - speak to the Resort Team or book on our Resort Shop.

  • End of stay cleaning is included at your accommodation, but we do expect you to follow our check out instructions on departure. If you prefer you can book an additional cleaning service.

At the bottom of the Savoy slopes, the brand new (2018) Hotel Folie Douce will be hosting daily après ski sessions in their underground party bunker where the clients of the hotel mix with locals and tourists alike. The fun begins at 4pm and ends at 8pm, making it an ideal early evening pit-stop on your way back to Les Balances, especially if you have been skiing the Brevent pistes above.

There is no parking for this apartment but there is free and payable public parking in the vicinity. Discounts are available on weekly passes for some of the car parks with the guest cards that we will give to you on arrival. As the apartment is located on the pedestrian high street, there is no access by car to the residence.

Excellent choice
We stayed here for four nights, great location and clean apartment with nothing to disappoint. We locked our locker keys in the boot room by mistake and went to the office of Chamonix all year, two minute walk, and we were lent a spare key immediately without any fuss whatsoever- a perfect service from them.

Location, location, location!
The apartment is in the middle of Chamonix and it it close to everything, skibus, shops, bakery, restaurants and so on. It is comfortable but there is limited wardrobe space and no heating cabinet for drying clothes when the weather is wet. We hung our clothes in the staricase where there is a rail and it worked just fine.

loved this apartment , excellent location right in the heart of Chamonix . Adored the balcony with views of mont blanc ! very comfy , the only thing I would mention is there is a spiral staircase that would be a challenge to older people or people with disabilities. Chamonix all year - great company to deal with , everything was very easy ! lovely people and very helpful .

Great apartment in an equally great location!
We were a group of 6 guys staying there and we found it to be perfect. Had loads of space for our gear. Ample bathroom and kitchen facilities and a within walking distance to the ski lifts. Smooth check in/out process too. Will be back (hopefully!).Thanks Chamonix All Year!

Good value for money
Lovely flat, a decent size for 6 people with a spacious living area. The room with the bunk beds is quite snug!!! Good value for money. Good communication and great location

Christmas/New Years Chamonix
Overall the stay was okay. The apartment is in an amazing location, it is offered a reasonable price, and the staff at All Year Chamonix is very responsive, even when issue arose on Christmas day. The issues were that the heating an WiFi didn't really work. We had to reset the router and/or were without internet most of the week we were there, and the downstairs heater was broken to whole week. They were able to supply us will roll in heater, but we needed to keep all the curtains closed the who week to keep in the heat.

Great location but with a little effort the apartment could be so much better
There were three of us staying in this apartment and it was a great size. It would comfortably sleep 6 although the downstairs living area would be quite cramped. The apartment is on the fourth floor and there is a lift for luggage etc but it's very small (although it does the trick). The stairs have lighting which was quite often not working making them too dark to see. We ended up using a torch to get up and down them (despite having reported the fault to Chamonix All Year). Because of the apartments central location there is no dedicated parking but there are plenty of options in the town for parking either on-street or in car parks. The accommodation was let down by the cleanliness. We had to wash all of the dishes before we used any of them (could literally see what the last guests had eaten they were so dirty). The oven was dirty, the floor could do with a good vacuum/wash. It's not a huge apartment so it wouldn't be difficult to do. It's not like it ruined our holiday but you just think when you're paying for what appears to be a very nice apartment it would at least be clean. Our main concern, however, was that there were no smoke alarms. he maintenance man came to fix them on day 1 of our holiday. He took them away and never brought any working ones back. We called in to Chamonix All Year to report this and they assured us they would put it right but never did. In a fourth floor apartment this made me a bit nervous. All in all, the apartment is in a great location with beautiful views in all directions - it just needs a good clean and I wouldn't book through Chamonix All Year.

We are very sorry for the problems you mention with the cleaning, we agree that this is not acceptable and regret that we didn't know about it during your stay as we would have been happy to come and fix it, and our team will be doing a thorough clean of the apartment to ensure this doesn't happen again. Regarding the smoke alarm, we removed one but there were others in the apartment so you were not left without smoke alarms as guest safety is our priority. We hope that you will reconsider you decision to come back and stay with us again - we would be very happy to welcome you to Chamonix another time.

Les Balances:Excellent located apartment in the center of the village of Chamonix.
We were three people and everybody had their own bedroom upstairs and kitchen and living room downstrairs. We only missed more plates, forks / knifes and working TV. Otherwise this apartment was excellent for our stay! Living room was a little bit chilly because there was only 2 heaters. In the bed there was plastic under the sheet which made you sweaty?! With a little bit fixing this aptmt could be excellent! CAYA team was helpfull and ride from the Geneva airport and back was really well on time and took only about an hour. Really worth the money ( we had shared taxi and on the way to NIX there was only there of us and return trip two others)

Great place to stay in the heart of CHamonix
Fantastic space which is located right by everything in Chamonix. Easy access with a bit of a walk to Brevent, to Aiguille du Midi, and to the buses to all other ski resorts. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby, good storage, and comfortable and cozy apartment. No complaints!

Great location but gets noisy
Great location right in the center. However in the summer if you have open windows you will definitely hear some noise, particularly in the early morning.Minor quibbles include lack of microwave and the coffee maker is of the French press style, for which, oddly, coffee could not be found in any grocery store.Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed the apartment.

We're sorry to hear that you couldn't find ground coffee for the cafetière, as you can find this in the main supermarkets, usually next to the soluble coffee. In the center of downtown Chamonix, central to all shopping, restaurants, bars, and central plaza. Perfect spot to watch the races of Marathon Du Mont-Blanc and go hiking or trail running without a need of a car. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant. We really enjoyed staying in Chamonix. The location was so amazing and a rewarding experience to see the Marathon Du Mont-Blanc races each morning from our bedroom windows.

Myself, my brother and two friends of ours stayed here for a week in January. The apartment is well equipped, clean and in an incredible location. We did have some problems with heating although this had been thought of by the Chamonix All Year team prior to our arrival and we were provided with electric heaters and told we only had to ask for more if we needed them (great service!). Close to ski rentals if you need them (literally the same building below the apartment), supermarket and restaurants / bars on the door step and the bus stop for the ski shuttle is a 2 minute walk away (more like 5 with ski boots / skis etc) The apartment is on the 4th floor and does have a lift although it's very small (can fit 2 people) so be prepared to potentially have to climb the 4 flights after a days skiing if the lift is busy - this wasn't a problem for us though it's just worth mentioning if someone is less mobile or struggles with stairs. There is a ski locker in the basement (although a little dusty so we kept our boots in the apartment) which was plenty large enough to store an apartments worth of guests equipment. Overall a brilliant stay and would definitely return.

Центральная площадь, река, фонтан, церковь, мэрия, памятник первовосходителям. Апартаменты - это квартира в старинном доме, он находится под охраной ЮНЕСКО. К нам в гости приходили друзья, которые жили в других отелях, специально чтобы сделать фото с наших балконов. Все рядом - рестораны, магазины, достопримечательности. Уличные концерты на площади можно слушать сидя на балконе. В этот раз мы были с детьми: двое взрослых и дети 5, 9 и 13 лет. Понравилась большая гостиная с диваном и деревянным столом и три спальни. Наконец-то старшая дочь могла разместиться отдельно от мелких. В апартаментах была вся кухонная утварь и много продуктов: чай, сахар, кофе, масло, специи и т.п. На каждого полный комплект полотенец и постельное белье. Номер был чисто убран. Имеются пледы и украшения номера - всякая стринная утварь и деревяшки. С персоналом общались только по электронной почте и при заезде. Все оперативно и вежливо, нам не докучали, быстро сняли блок с денежного депозита при выезде.

There are blankets and ornaments rooms - every strinam utensils and pieces of wood. With a staff of only communicated via email and on arrival. 5/5 - "Location, location, location"
This was a bit of a random rental for me since I don't know Chamonix at all and chose it mainly on the basis of the prevelance of restaurants on the map nearby. As it turns out, it overlooks the main square of the town, and couldn't be in a better place. The apartment is 2 story, with a fairly confined spiral staircase linking the bedrooms upstairs and the lounge/kitchen downstairs. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who isn't physically confident, and getting suitcases up it was a bit of a trial. The building does have a very small lift (one person plus suitcase, or two people without) which is very welcome at the end of a long day. There are three bedrooms, two reasonably sized doubles and a third which is just big enough for a bunk bed. Bathroom is upstairs and includes a bath with shower, which is nice, and there is an additional toilet downstairs. Unlike a few apartments I've stayed in, we had some basic provisions provided (toilet paper, some milk in the fridge and so forth) which made a pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed ourselved staying here while ranging out around the local ski areas.

Such a great 10 days. were welcomed by the host on arrival with a quick walkthrough of all things necessary. super friendly and offered us help whenever we needed it. Honestly u cannot get a better located apartment in Chamonix. right in the centre, top floor (4th floor) overlooking the city and a stones throw from the brevent lifts and the chamonix central bus stop. even though its in the centre u don't hear the people in town at all. good nights sleep. will definitely look to come again.
