A recently announced new Eurostar service to Geneva will offer an all year round alternative to flying or driving for skiers and summer visitors to Chamonix, whatever your reason for preferring to travel by train.

The first train will leave London St Pancras on 14th December 2014, via Lille’s newly refurbished terminal where connections will whisk passengers on the TGV Lyria to Geneva. Journeys will take just over six hours and all connections are timed to ensure minimum waiting, and maximum time at your destination.

The new route will certainly offer wonderful views of France and Switzerland on the way, and getting to Chamonix from Geneva could not be easier. There is a regular shuttle train between Geneva train station and Geneva airport, which lasts just 6 minutes, and from their our usual Geneva to Chamonix airport transfers offer a door-to-door service.
