You might be hearing bad reports about the snow conditions in Chamonix, and we won’t deny that we’re looking forward to more snow falling this week as forecast, however that hasn’t stopped many of the slopes opening this weekend, with the rest to follow on 21st December.
Slopes and lifts open from 14th December
Les Grands Montets has been open since 7th December and with its high altitude and shaded slopes is offering some of the best piste skiing in Chamonix at the moment. Also open at the moment:
- Le Brévent ski area is offering 4 lifts to access the pistes, although Flégère remains closed until next weekend
- Le Tour (Balme) has 4 lifts and 5 slopes open since Saturday too
- Les Houches has opened again this weekend and will open fully for the season on 21st December.
