Getting ready for your ski holiday is always exciting, but it can be overwhelming if you’ve never visited Chamonix before, or if it’s your first ski holiday. Our Reservations Team has years of experience in helping people organise their ski holidays, so read on for our top tips on how to prepare everything you need for your Chamonix ski holiday.

1. Flights & Geneva airport transfers

After booking your accommodation, the next thing you’ll look at will probably be your flights, to benefit from early booking low prices. But don’t stop there, with your flights booked, tick another thing off your list and book your Geneva to Chamonix airport transfers as well. Head across to our info page on airport transfers to place your booking, and our partners will take care of all the details, getting in touch again in the week before you arrive to confirm the final arrangements, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

2. Ski lessons

It’s crucial to think ahead about your ski lessons as they can book up early and you don’t want to miss out on the chance to perfect your technique. Don’t forget as well that the peak weeks over Christmas, New Year and February holidays are very busy, so booking ahead is essential, especially for ski school where class sizes are limited. Read our guide to booking lessons and then go to our Chamonix Resort Shop to place your order, so your booking can be confirmed as soon as possible.

3. Lift passes

Skip the queues and get on the slopes as soon as possible with our lift pass delivery service. Choose your winter ski pass and then order online on the Chamonix Resort Shop. The Reservations Team will then collect the passes for you from the cash desks and ensure they’re in your accommodation for you when you arrive – easy!

4. Ski hire

Benefit from our exclusive ski hire discounts for guests and pre-book your ski hire online with exclusive discounts. Our Reservations Team will place the order with our closest partner to your accommodation and give you everything you need so that all you need to do is go and collect your equipment when you arrive. If we don’t have a partner shop nearby, we’ll arrange for your kit to be delivered, at no extra charge!

If you prefer to wait and do this when you’re in Chamonix, then we’ll give you a voucher on arrival so you can still claim this great discount!

5. Après ski & activities

Research all your après ski options in advance with our Bar guide, so you know all the hottest spots to hit, and also check out the evening adventures on offer, such as a paret evening. There’s a whole host of other great winter activities to try, like the ever-popular husky rides or a breath-taking parapente flight, so be sure to have a look at our activity guide before you arrive too, to make sure you don’t miss out.

Your dedicated Reservations Team is always on hand to provide more information, advice and guidance, so if you’re not sure, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We love Chamonix and we’re sure you will too!
