Along with Chamonix Tourist Office, we were delighted to welcome Iain Martin to Chamonix in January 2024. Iain is the founder of The Ski Podcast and Ski Flight Free, and he was here to cover the Kandahar ski slalom race as well as the 100th anniversary of the first Winter Olympics in Chamonix.
Iain stayed in Lou Lou Apartment and we are very pleased to say that he left a 5* review of his stay. He also gave a mention to Chamonix All Year in the 200th episode of the The Ski Podcast, see below and listen to about 28 minutes in to hear our shout-out.
Episode 200 of The Ski Podcast is a Chamonix Special, featuring Jasmin Taylor, Jennifer Tsang, Tim Hudson, Dave Burrows plus racers Dave Ryding, Billy Major OLY, Laurie Taylor and Zak Carrick-Smith, winner of three medals at the Youth Olympic Games in January 2024.
Iain also wrote about his experience of travelling to Chamonix by train on his website Ski Flight Free – a great eco-friendly option if you’re trying to travel less by plane – and mentioned his stay with Chamonix All Year in Skier and Snowboarder Magazine, in his article “In the footsteps of the first Winter Olympians“.
