Garden, vegetable patch and BBQ
The chalet is located in a beautifully landscaped garden which is shared with the property next door, Mazot Florence. There is plenty of space to enjoy, or you can even enjoy a BBQ with the guests in the chalet next door if you're feeling sociable.
The fireplace is ornamental only and is not for use. Notice the large amethyst crystal in place of a keystone over the top!

A Slice of Heaven
★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Let me just say that Heaven would never be Heaven without a trip to Chalet Florence in Chamonix. This place is like a First Kiss. In our many travels throughout Europe, I can truly say few places on Earth, like Chalet Florence offer so much love, beauty, peace and friendship. Our lovely host and now friend forever, Florence, has created a little Heaven on Earth. The connections we make in the course of our travels and life on this planet is perhaps what Heaven is to some. Chalet Florence is and was this Slice of Heaven for us. A stellar location, an endearing host, and an amazing home like you never left, awaits. Needless to say, Heaven does exist; Chalet Florence is a place to be, a place to refresh your senses and enjoy the complete experience of Heavenly Hospitality.

We cannot say enough nice things about our stay in Florence’s chalet. From the time we arrived until we left, Florence made sure that everything was taken care of. The chalet was beautifully furnished and had views of Mont Blanc that are out of this world. We had considered several other places before choosing this one and are so glad we did. In the evenings, its very quiet and away from the noise of downtown Chamonix. However, the shops/restaurants in Chamonix are just a short walk away, which we walked to nearly everyday. The hiking nearby was challenging and offered great views of alps.
Look no further if you want a quaint, quiet, little chalet with wonderful views and an amazing hostess. Florence truly took care of everything. We were even fortunate enough to share dinner with her one evening, which was very enjoyable to hear more about the history of Chamonix and her chalets. I hope that we’ll be able to visit Chamonix again and if we do, we’ll definitely be staying in this chalet again!

It is a dream. A fantasy come true. We spent three glorious months in Snow White’s cottage where the Seven Dwarves had spent their lives preparing for our stay instead of digging the mine. No wonder Chalet Florence is rated FIVE STARS by France’s official Accreditation Committee.
From bottom to top, you live in a comfortable work of art—doors, shutters, beams and furniture are hand-carved masterpieces by artisans of ages past—a living, cozy memento that breathes its origins as can never be duplicated. And yet—here is another amazing part—the chalet contains a generous abundance of modern world conveniences close at hand, beautifully and lovingly incorporated throughout its nooks and crannies, tastefully living in harmony with tradition. It’s a joyous experience. Next, multiply all of that by the private, quiet garden setting, nestled beneath snowy Mont Blanc in the most stunningly beautiful, spectacularly gorgeous spot on earth, and you have Chalet Florence. Almost. We cannot forget to include the perfectly amiable, knowledgeable, kind and discreet hostess seemingly known to all, Florence herself. Take a curtsey, Madame.
Put all of this together, then, within a few refreshing and scenic steps from the downtown Chamonix walking street, and voilà—you’re beginning to understand the real-life dream come true waiting for you in Chalet Florence.

Lovely, cozy cabin in beautiful Chamonix
We had a wonderful stay at this charming chalet. It is located within walking distance to the main shopping/dining area in Chamonix on a quiet street. The chalet itself is very clean and impeccably decorated. Florence was a gracious host, providing excellent tips on things to do. Our dog was very much welcomed by her. We would definitely stay here again.

Our Alps vacation was truly a dream vacation!!
We found Chalet Florence on this site...Florence was a dream to deal with from the first email I sent. She sent us all kinds of information, provided many suggestions on things to do, she reached out to her contacts to get us set up with heli-skiing, she provided weather updates leading up to our departure, fabulous directions and was waiting for us when we finally arrived - with a big French welcome hug! (we'd become very close email friends during the few weeks leading up and it was lovely to finally meet in real life!). The Chalet was our home away from home for the entire week. Florence showed us all the details of the Chalet and we had a welcome pkg waiting for us - homemade jam, yummy French wine and a few others things. The bed was SO comfy, if it weren't for the Alps calling our names it would have been so easy to stay in the Chalet and be cozy all week. We had a nice big tub to come home to soak in after our days on the mountain. Yummy nespresso each morning and even friendly neighbours to help push our car out of the snow the morning we got stuck :) The Chalet is perfectly located a nice, easy 5 minute walk to town. We arrived late in the evening and we weren't sure we'd make it to the grocery store in time to buy supplies for breakfast - when we woke up that morning, Florence left us eggs, butter and bread from her own personal kitchen. Chamonix is beautiful and everything is so close to walk to from the Chalet. We had a rental car and discovered that Italy was a short 20mins drive thru the tunnel and so that made our adenturing even more amazing. We skiied a different mountain every day and mother nature even decided to dump huge amounts of snow on us - it snowed for 36 hours straight! Thanks to Florence no doubt, I had asked her to speak to the snow gods for us and ensure lots of powder for our vacation!! On the last day of our vacation we finally had crystal clear blue skies and we finally made it up in the helicopter - AMAZING!!! And for the grand finale of the trip, we were finally visited by Florence's 'pet' deer! She had spoken about the deer and I was very excited to see...and she finally came on our last night to bid us farewell. We watched her eat right in front of the chalet window and Florence came out and the two of them put on a little show for us - Florence was speaking to her and called her over for more food and the deer actually followed her, I have no idea what Florence said to her, as it was all in French!!
