Paret sledging

Chamonix ski holiday, chamonix activities, paret sledging

Book yourself in for a memorable activity in les Grands Montets with Paret sledging. The perfect end to a day’s skiing on Chamonix’s famously challenging ski area, take the last lift up to the mid-station before riding the home run on your traditional sledge (paret).

The parets have been described by our team as “a cross between a sledge and a joystick”, which we think is pretty accurate – see the picture above if our description hasn’t sparked your imagination.

Meet the guides at the bottom of the cable car to get kitted up, then head up to the mid-station for a safety briefing while you wait for the last skiers to leave the pistes. When the mountains are quiet, the mayhem begins! Sled down the Pierre Ric home run on your wooden paret for 45 minutes of hilarity and adrenaline.
