Everything within walking distance
Shops for the week’s food, a boulangerie for the mornings, restaurants for the evenings and a lift station for the day. From these properties all of it is on foot, which is a better start to a holiday than a hire car and a parking space.

Buses and trains along the Chamonix valley
Your Carte d’Hôte, issued when you arrive, covers the buses and the Mont Blanc Express along the valley. That takes you to Les Houches, Argentière and Le Tour, which is every ski area and most of the walking without getting in a car.

Getting to Chamonix without a car
Most guests arrive through Geneva, and a transfer brings you to the door in about an hour and a half. There is also a train line into the valley if you would rather come overland. Our travel to Chamonix guide covers the routes, and how to get to Chamonix goes through them in more detail.
