About your accommodation

Cocon apartment is a warm and vintage style. Cocon apartment is a 43 sqm ground floor apartment in a stylish residence, only 7 minutes' walk from Chamonix centre and a stone's throw away from Le Savoy and Brevent ski lifts. It sleeps up to 4 people in one cosy bedroom and one mezzanine. The apartment faces south / south-west and benefits from the sun all day long as it shines through the 2 metre high windows which overlook the stunning views of the Mont Blanc range.

There is one double bed in this Chamonix apartment's bedroom, as well as a double bed in the mezzanine. Cocon apartment also has free wifi internet access, an iMac computer that can be used as a DVD player, a breakfast bar and a dining table for 4 people. The bathroom of the apartment in Chamonix includes a shower and a toilet and there is also a separate WC in the utility room with a washing machine. There is a well-equipped modern kitchen which includes microwave and Nespresso coffee machine and you also have access to an allocated outside parking space at the back of the residence.

Cocon apartment is located in the lovely quiet Nants area of Chamonix town centre. The Chamonix apartment is 7 minutes' walk from the town centre to the restaurants, bars and shops and a stone's throw away from Le Savoy and Brevent ski lifts. Cocon apartment has stunning views thanks to its elevated position and tall windows. The nearest large supermarket is 10 minutes in the car. Visitors to this apartment in Chamonix will love the residence and the quiet of the area, which belies its proximity to the centre.

Please note that if you are driving in winter, you should ensure that your car has snow tyres and snow chains as the road up is quite steep.

Check-in times
Normal check-in time is from 5pm to 9pm.

Check-out times
Normal check-out time is by 10am.

Flexible check-in / check-out times
If these times don’t suit your holiday arrangements, you can book our flexible early check-in / late check-out service (subject to availability). This must be booked with us in advance, and may be subject to a fee of €25 for apartments and €50 for chalets so that we can prepare the property in time.

Late check-in after hours
If you need to check-in after 9pm this may be subject to a €30 late check-in fee, or €50 late check-in fee if you’re arriving after midnight, which must be paid on arrival at your Chamonix Accommodation.

Children
Travel cots & high chairs / booster seats can be hired through us for £35 to include cot mattress, bed linen and a towel. You can add this to your booking at the time of booking. Although the baby cot will need to be place in the lounge as the bedroom will lack space.

Pets
Please enquire about the possibility of bringing pets to this apartment. If it is possible, permission must be obtained in advance and a charge will be applied at time of booking. The additional fee is £30.

What's included

  • One set of bed linen and towels is provided at your accommodation for your stay.
  • If you are staying for 2 weeks or more you will have a mid-stay linen change. Mid-stay cleaning can also be added at an extra charge - speak to the Resort Team or book on our Resort Shop.
  • Tourist guest cards will be given to you on arrival to give you free travel on the local train and buses and more.
  • End of stay cleaning is included at your accommodation, but we do expect you to follow our check out instructions on departure. If you prefer you can book an additional cleaning service.

Mezzanine

The mezzanine is not suitable for young children or elderly people. The sofa bed could be used instead upon request.

iMac
There is no TV in the apartment but the iMac computer can be used to watch DVDs or with your personal iTunes or Netflix account.

Home sweet home
The location is perfect: not so far from the town but very quiet, you can ear crickets and birds. Opening the windows on this panoramic view is magnificient ! Despite of high temperatures in Chamonix, the appartment stays cool. All the plants and the personal touch (similar our) make us feel at home. The beds are really confortable which is very important after a big day in the moutain. TV is not necessary because of the Wifi.Sure we recommend it to our friends and family !

It felt like home
Cocon apartment is full of interesting art, books and individual touches - it feels like someone's home rather than just an apartment. While it is a little bit away from the centre of Chamonix, it isn't very far and it was a convenient position to end some of our walks on that side of the valley. Even though the weather was warm and there is no air-conditioning, we found that the apartment cooled down enough at night if the windows were left open with the shutters closed so that we didn't have problems with it getting too hot.

Last minute family ski trip
Great location near to Savoy and Brevent ski areas, the views from the apartment are fantastic facing Aguille du Midi and Mont Blanc. Great base for a wander into town, and fun walking up the short drive in the ice at times! Loved the decor and style of the property, plenty of storage available. Futon on mezzanine is understandably hard, and the sofa seems a bit uncomfortable even though it’s in good condition, we felt like we were sliding off it! The kitchen is compact but has everything we needed. Parking was very handy as all roads nearby were full of parked cars, well it was February half term! We would definitely recommend staying here.

Another Perfect Stay in Chamonix!
Really lovely place to stay in Chamonix and really did enjoy our time. No car needed, everything is in walking as long as you don't mind a short stroll every time you head into town, little tricky sometimes in the snow.The apartment is very well appointed and has everything you need for a lovely warm stay in Chamonix.

Wonderful three weeks
We have just returned after a wonderful three week stay in the Cocon apartment in Chamonix. The location is perfect, just a five minute walk to the centre of town but in a lovely quiet site on the edge of the wooded slopes. The apartment has a very comfortable double bed in a separate bedroom and another double bed in a mezzanine above the lounge area. There is lots of storage room so you don't have to live out of a luggage bag. The apartment feels like a home and is superbly well equipped, even including an Apple computer for the use of guests. There is no TV but we made full use of the computer to stream programmes and music. There is an allocated parking space and a separate storage "cave" though we didn't use this facility. The kitchen area is small but well equipped and served very well for our needs. The views from the three main windows are stunning.

Superb experience in Chamonix
We stayed 3 days in this lovely appartment. We really enjoyed the location facing the Mont Blanc (what a view !). The flat has a very cosy atmosphere and does not look like old rental typical mountain appartments... which is really nice ! The land lord is very welcoming and knows a lot about Chamonix so that was a big + for us and our stay.The flat is 10 minutes walk away from the center (bars, restaurants, shops...) which was absolutely perfect for us.I give it 5 out of 5 !
