About your accommodation
In the heart of Les Bois, the centre of the Chamonix valley, Chalet Cerisier is at once both secluded and in perfect proximity to ski lifts, to summer trails, and to every convenience of Chamonix town. Sleeping 10-12 with 5 ensuite bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, and with every room designed to accentuate light and space, we believe Chalet Cerisier is hard to match in the luxury market, both for the experience that the luxury chalet provides and for its competitive pricing. Chalet Cerisier has a large open plan living space, and truly is a luxury chalet as it also comprises a games room, cinema room, hot tub, sauna, large flat open garden and parking for 3 cars. In additional to all of this, there is also a self-contained 1 bedroom apartment with its own kitchen and living room.
You can see Mont Blanc from everywhere, of course, but the real attraction in Les Bois is the Drus, and the large living area in Chalet Cerisier has picture windows which give stunning views of Les Drus and Mont Blanc, as well as a dining table which comfortably seats 10 people. The wraparound balcony is also equipped with tables and chairs so that you can make the most of the views and the sunshine, or sunset! The bedrooms of this luxury chalet are airy and spacious, creating a feeling of relaxation throughout, and you will find no clutter and nothing squeezed into corners. Light wood, large windows and satellite television are standard to every room and cosy comfort is in abundant supply. The garden of Chalet Cerisier is large and flat, making it perfect for building snowmen in winter or for enjoying a game of cricket in the summer, and with a BBQ too for sunny evenings. There is also a large hot tub in the grounds of the luxury chalet from which to enjoy the staggering views of Les Drus. Downstairs is a hidden gem - the cinema room - the only room without windows which makes the perfect TV snug, either for playing on the XBox 360 or for snuggling up to watch a film. There is also a games room where you can enjoy a friendly bout of competition over pool or darts.

Prices for more than 10 people
Please note for the price quoted are for up to 10 people. There is an additional fee of £250 per person for more than 10.
Dominating the main floor is Cerisier's living area: sofa and armchair space for your entire party, a log fire, a projection screen for late night DVDs - all of it under one of the largest windows you are ever likely to see, with what is perhaps one of Chamonix's most striking and unusual views: looking straight up at the twin peaks of Les Drus.
The chalet's dining space sits in the centre of the huge open plan middle floor. Right next to the kitchen area and seating 10 with plenty of elbow room, the broad and solid wooden table is perfect for lazy breakfasts, sit-down dinners or even a little work on the laptop. There are tables and chairs on the wrap-around balcony too, should you fancy a bit of sunrise freshness - or sunset romance - with your meal.
The bedrooms are as airy and spacious as the rest of the chalet - the intent when building Cerisier was to create a feeling of relaxation throughout, and you will find no clutter and nothing squeezed into corners.
There are five bathrooms, of which three are ensuite, including the superb main ensuite bathroom with walkthrough dressing room. The top two bedrooms are serviced by two separate bathrooms, each equipped with shower (one with a bath) and sinks. The basement also boasts a sauna for you to ease away any tensions you might have build up over the pool table.
The exterior of Chalet Cerisier is just as strikingly spacious as its interior. The wrap-around balcony has tables, chairs and enough room for an outdoor dinner, the enormous garden is bordered by gentle woodland, and unusually for Chamonix, it is flat, resources for snowman building are considerable, and in the summer there's plenty of room for an impromptu game of cricket.
TV Snug / Cinema room
Downstairs in the chalet there is a hidden gem - the only room without windows makes the perfect snug escape, whether you're leaving the kids with the X-Box 360 or if you're finding a hidden and intimate space for snoozing in front of a film.
Though many chalets have outdoor hot tubs, few are complimented either by the space of the huge garden or by the dominating and awe-inspiring sight of Les Drus towering above you.
Another uncommon aspect of the chalet is its games room: a simple space but perfect for something different; for an evening of family competition at pool or darts, or for a quick bet to decide who is cooking dinner.
I don't think I can fault this Chalet at all. I've been scratching my head trying to think of one and no I really can't! We had a group of 11 staying and the chalet felt very spacious to us. We were in a bedroom next to the pool room with an ensuite which was a very welcome treat in a self catering property. Our room was absolutely grand for us but the piece de rresistance was the bedroom with the walk through wardrobe and massive bathroom. I think this is the 'whoever books the chalet' choice of room to stay in! But all the rooms are great and there a self contained apartment that leads out to the garden . It would be perfect for a couple with a child or two as the sofa can be made into a double bed. One thing to note is that the garden is open so you would have to keep an eye on very young ones.
But oh that garden! The best part of the day was lying on one of the loungers first thing in the morning just drinking in the view. Absolutely stunning and a memory I will treasure.
The sitting room and kitchen were perfect for a large group. Really comfy sofas - not the usual wipe clean leatherette you normally get in a self catering property. We had ample room to loll about of an evening. We only put the TV one once so we could watch the World cup final on the big pull down screen.
Thanks to the owners who upon hearing I had a feather allergy, went out and bought synthetic duvet and pillows for me. Thanks!
The chalet is in Les Bois so it's about a 40 minute walk into the centre of Chamonix which might be a plus or a minus for some. For us it was a big plus as the area around it is so green and quiet. As a keen runner I could run from right outside the door all the way into Chamonix and back via a very scenic route.
The best meals we had on holiday were the ones we had in the chalet as it comes equipped with everything you will need to cook a meal for a large group. Sitting outside of an evening on the big table with mountains all around was a true pleasure. I think this chalet is an excellent deal in the summer months for a big group so if you're into your hiking but want to go back to a bit of luxury at the end of the day then this chalet is for you. Can't wait to go back next year!
We've stayed in the Chalet for one month. It was May. Me, my husband and our 6-month son came there to have a fresh air after our noisy city. The position of the Chalet has two wonderful features - first of all it is Les Bois! This is grate place for vacation in summer! The river, the forest! Everybody ride bicycles there or just come to have camping during the day. There is a farm there on the river (5-10 min walk) where U can buy fresh cheese. It is also 5 km from Chamonix town. If U ride a bicycle or just walk U can take a nice road through the park! No cars around!:) And the second feature is open space around the Chalet! There are not a lot of houses in Les Bois or in the villages near by has open space! When U wake up in the morning and look in the window U can see the nature around but not a window of your neighbour:)
The house is new and modern, very clean (thanks Anne:). There U can have everything U want - nice bedrooms, bathrooms, cafe machine etc.)) The living room has fascinating view through the huge window!
We've had a wonderful vacation there! Thank U Philip!!:)
"Over the top"
Wow! Staying at Chalet Cerisier is an over-the-top experience. Our extended family relished all of the many features of this fine home. The website, including its must-see video, only approximately captures the splendor, comfort and beauty of this new luxury accommodation. Credit brilliant siting and architecture to present transfixing views of the Massif de Mont Blanc. Anticipate a handsome traditional alpine exterior combined with a thoroughly modern interior, replete with natural woods and every high-tech appliance and electronic system that you could desire. The structure spans four storeys--including (1) a man-cave kitted out with a myriad of video games--an adolescent's dream, (2) billiards room, (3) sauna, (4) motorized projection screen coupled to high-end audio for TV, DVD's and your iPad, (5) large open wood-burning fireplace in the large open high-ceilinged living area. The outdoor Jacuzzi was enjoyed regularly by our entourage après ski. Adding to the creature comforts: find the glove and boot warmer in the garage.
WiFi is o.k. for rural France.
We much enjoyed the tiny tranquil hamlet of Les Bois--fun to walk around. The Chalet is set back from Av.des Les Bois--look for mail box displaying nr 261, then drive down the adjacent drive to end.
It's about 100 m to the bus stop. Local trains and buses--every 15 min--are free. However, hiring a car is indicated.
Anne, the Australian concierge, is a delight. She is very knowledgeable re Chamonix's great assortment of excellent restaurants, shops and attractions. Be sure to have her explain carefully in full detail all the high-tech complexities of this home. Take notes. She can direct you to Le Comptoir, the small general store in nearby Les Praz with some of the best croissants in Savoie. Procurement became a very enjoyable daily morning ritual.
We hope to return.
We were absolutely delighted with our stay! The chalet is a dream and the welcome provided by Anne and John put us immediately at ease (we had not done this sort of thing before). Everything about the place and our stay was pretty much perfect. Zoe (the chef we hired for the week) was an inspired recommendation and made our holiday all the more unforgettable.
Specification-wise, the chalet absolutely hit the spot. The rooms were decorated and fitted out just as we had hoped and the cosiness of the place belied its size (which was also perfect).
The location was ideal, and made access to the various bits of Chamonix a doddle.
As a special mention, we particularly loved the big window giving onto the Drus! The garden was huge and perfect for letting the little ones run around building snowmen and generally rolling around in the snow. Thoroughly recommended!
We stayed as a group of two families (4 adults and 6 kids) and had plenty of room. Everything on the website is true. The location is great (but you do need a car to get around) with the woods close by. Even in the middle of winter we had a great time exploring them.
The chalet itself had everything one could need. The kids loved the home theatre room and the games room. The adults enjoyed the amazing views out the window.
On arrival we were met by Anne who showed us around and the various ins and outs of operating everything. The ski drying room and boot racks were of great use.
All in all a wonderful place to use as a base for skiing in Chamonix.
I organised an event for the Royal Photographic Society, Swiss Chapter at the chalet and it all went very well. The perfect location for an enthusiasts get together such as ours with such a great location for quick access to all Chamonix has to offer. The intimate atmosphere of the chalet allowed for a very relaxed and social feel to the weekend.
"Chalet Cerisier a slice of heaven that I didn't want to leave!"
Arriving in Chalet Cerisier I was immediately drawn to the panoramic views from the windows in the living area over the glacier and snowy peaks. Such a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or warm up by the fire after a day outdoors. The chalet is luxurious, welcoming and spacious and we immediately relaxed into vacation mode. All of the rooms are beautifully appointed and it is tempting to stay home and enjoy the hot-tub, games room etc. We particularly enjoyed the deckchairs on the wide balconies, with a glass of wine, on a sunny winter day as the sun sets. Although we were there for skiing(loved the boot warmers), I would love to return in the summer to explore the valley further by bike and foot. Even in the winter we enjoyed the walk into the town by the stream. Perfect chalet for friends, families, special occasions as there is something for everyone(even if you only relax in the living room and enjoy the amazing views!) Hope to return soon
"Superbe chalet lumineux spacieux luxueux remarquablement équipé"
This place was the perfect ski Chalet for a large group. 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms provided great comfort for everyone. The view out the picture window in the living room is so spectacular that prior to arriving, some in the group thought it was a photoshopped picture on the website.
The nicest most luxurious chalet I have ever stayed in.
Sensational views of Les Drus and Mont Blanc.
The perfect way to end a hard days skiing sitting in the hot tub sipping champagne and watching the stars.
Marvellously well equipped kitchen with everything you could need to produce a Cordon Bleu meal for 10. We did a few!
Very chic bedrooms, fantastic quality bedding and luxurious bathrooms - what more can a girl want!
There is a games room for boys...
"Wonderful chalet, well designed with spectacular views"
We used the chalet as a family base for getting married in Chamonix, for which it was perfect. The chalet is delightful with a large open plan kitchen/living area that is great for a large family to relax and have meals. It also has stunning views of Les Drus (the most recognisable peak in the Chamonix valley).
The owners were communicative and reasonable about our requests (flexing the date being off season). Kindly they did not charge us for a jug which we broke, unlike some of the nitpicking which one experiences with holiday rentals.
I would recommend hiring a car if you're staying here, but watch out for the stones on the tight drive, one person scratched their car.
"Could not have been better"
It was a special occasion for us - we were getting married, and we wanted a chalet which slept a few family members and close friends, somewhere we could have friends round for drinks outside, and somewhere we could host a BBQ for a crowd of about 50 people. We wanted to relax and entertain in the house, and hike/climb/paraglide outside the house. Chalet Cerisier was perfect - the location cannot be beaten, the room quality and decoration was superb, and the staff were second to none. We cannot recommend this chalet highly enough.
The house is beautiful . We love the view who was amaizing. the house was very well equiped and the lady who went everymorning for the breakfast was really nice !!
We had a great time with the family!!
"Feels like home!!!"
Have stayed in this marvelous place 4 times now. We love Le Cherisier for the cosy atmosphere, excellent planning of the rooms. The chalet is fantastic for families with kids like we are. Huge outside playing ground in summer. Spacious living area for winter indoor games as well as a special playroom. Calm location with the best view ever. I would definitely recommend this place for people who care where to stay.
Our stay there was everything we'd hoped it could be. The house was gorgeous, the amenities were abundant and top-notch, and the views from the kitchen, living room, (and hot tub!) were stunning. I would recommend it highly to anyone interested.
The Chalet was perfect in every way. Great Location. Very comfortable and well appointed. Hope to return in the future.
"Its too good to tell anybody else about."
This Chalet is breathtaking internally with dramatic views to the glacier and down the valley to the peaks of the aiguille du Midi and the centre of town. The owners have furnished the chalet with comfortable modern furniture and all the facilities are kept in immaculate condition. The Chalet is located in a quiet and exclusive residential part of the town called Les Bois and perfectly located for easy cycling and walking throughout the valley or taking the cable cars either side to more challenging alpine terrain. We would certainly recommend the great outdoor summer activities that are available from rafting to paragliding. The catering ( if you require it ) is fabulous and showcases local fresh produce. Otherwise there are some excellent local restaurants to suit all moods and budgets. The owner's support team are discreet but totally knowledgeable. We genuinely hate to leave and look forward eagerly to our next visit.
