22nd-27th July: Paléo Music Festival Nyon

From Paléo’s origins as a folk festival in the 1970s, the range of artists and musical genres has grown and grown and now includes a bit of everything, from rock, pop and electronica, to world music, reggae and French chanson. Musical legends and newcomers perform across six stages, and in addition to the music there’s a whole range of other diversions to keep you entertained.

As well as the musical delights on offer, each year the Village du Monde offers a themed celebration of a different region of the world, and this year it’s the turn of the Andes to fly their flag with concerts, shows, food and crafts.

The festival also celebrates all things circus, with street theatre and performance given pride of place at the Hive with its seven performance spaces.

2014’s musical line-up includes big names such as M.I.A., Thirty Seconds to Mars, Stromae, Jack Johnson, Elton John, Zaz, The Prodigy, James Blunt, Vanessa Paradis and Placebo – not to be missed!
