12th-13th September

2015 marks the first year of Evergreen Endurance – a brand new iron-man triathlon event in Chamonix’s busy summer sports calendar.

Evergreen Endurance is defined not only by its stunning and unforgettable route, but also by its unique environmental commitments. Key aims include being carbon neutral within three years, minimising carbon footprints wherever possible for the organisers and participants and introducing an innovative fundraising platform to allow donations to key environmental projects.

All this is summarised in the event’s motto: « Hammer the race, leave no trace ».

As well as offering an ambitious challenge to athletes, Evergreen Endurance aims to host the race responsibly, with a give-back philosophy and all while raising awareness among athletes and spectators.

Triathletes will swim, cycle and run along an unforgettable alpine route of crystalline lakes, steep roads and verdant mountain paths, with a choice of two route:

  • EVERGREEN 228: a long distance « ironman » triathlon  (4km Swim / 181km Bike / 43km Run) where athletes can participate in individual or relay team (3-person teams).
  • EVERGREEN 118: a « half-ironman »distance triathlon (2km Swim / 96km Bike / 21km Run) where athletes can participate individually.

There will also be a triathlon village at le Savoy in Chamonix, which will host exhibitors showcasing green technogolies for athletes and spectators.
