Le Majestic apt 106 - 2 bedrooms (20805)  5 stars property 5 stars property 5 stars property 5 stars property 5 stars property

This is a fantastic luxury apartment right in the centre of Chamonix and can sleep upto 5 people and is only metres from ski lifts & nightlife. With sweeping views of the Brevent mountain range, “Le Majestic” is the former Grand Hotel built in the early 1900's and frequented by the most renowned political, literary and artistic personalities of that era. The heritage listed building still to this day retains its majestic beauty with stunning architecture, high ceilings, wide corridors and beautiful gardens. The apartment includes 1 large bedroom and 1 attic bedroom, open plan living area, 2 bathrooms, secure outdoor parking, a customised hand-made kitchen and all the modern appliances to make your stay easy and comfortable. The top floor apartment has lift access and is only 350m from the Brevent ski lift and a one minute walk from the bus stop to get free transfers to go to all the ski areas. After a hard day on the slopes you can then stroll down 200m to the main shopping, restaurant & entertainment street, Rue de Dr Paccard. It simply does not get any better than this.

The large master bedroom enjoys views overlooking the Brevent mountain range and comes fully equipped with a spacious Queen sized bed, wardrobe and ensuite bathroom with full length bath and shower. The upstairs bedroom can function as either a second bedroom or as a separate apartment with its own entrance and bathroom facilities. Perfect for families with older, more independent children or another couple. Finally the lounge can be converted into a bed for one to form a third bedroom and sleep an addition child however we recommend the apartment is best when there is a maximum of 4 adults + 1 child are present.

Chamonix is not just any old ski resort, this old french village was transformed over a 100 years ago when it hosted the first ever Winter Olympics, since then it has become the European mecca for adventure sports and luxury holidays in both Winter and Summer.

In winter Chamonix, boasts some of highest runs in Europe (Grand Montet 3300m and Vallee Blanche 3800m) which ensures that there is good skiing available well into May, tho check the ski reports as the weather can vary from season to season. When it's time for lunch or a warm down from the day's adventure, Chamonix can also offer great food and apres ski locations both on and off the mountains.
Chamonix is located only minutes to a number of nearby ski villages and runs including Les Houches (7.5km), Vallorcine (16.5km) and Argentiere as well as the Italian Resort, Courmayeur (23km).
In summer the centre of town is transformed as walkers, hikers and climbers decend upon Chamonix to enjoy the natural challenges.

Thank you for another enjoyable stay. Le Majestic 106 is a wonderful apartment and suited our needs perfectly.
Trevor Jones, UK – February 2014

Party of 2 couples staying Le Majestic on level 6. The apartment is well appointed, comfortable, warm and very clean. It’s also very well located, being close to bus, to Brevent and town centre.
Robert & Deirdre Hudson, Australia – January 2014

4/5 - I booked this apartment for myself, husband, son and his friend (boys = 20 and 21 years respectively) during Christmas week 2013. We were all really looking forward to this ski trip but it did not go quite to plan - mainly to do with global warming I think !!
On arrival in resort a rep from Chamonix-all-year was available to greet us and talk us through the do's and don'ts of the apartment, from this point on everybody who works for Chamonix-all-year that we had contact with proved themselves to be efficient, helpful, polite and friendly 10 out of 10 hear.
Parking: Once you have got your place probably best not to move until you leave, parking is limited.
Apartment is very well located for an easy walk into town.
In apartment:
Very good size for four adults
Imaginatively laid out and well appointed
Sensible Kitchen area with all the utensils you would need
I only have a couple of quibbles, one of which is that the spiral stair case up to the second bedroom seemed a little wobbly (bannister only), which was fine for us but I may have more concern if I had been taking young children. Also, I am 5ft 1in and a size ten and was able to get through the gap at the top of the spiral stairs easily, however my son who is 5ft 10in and of slim build had more of a problem.
There are no windows/ventilation in this bedroom, which may be a problem for some as it gets quite hot and stuffy up there and the head room is not great in places.
The door way from this room is not what you might call a conventional door way, my son and his friend nicknamed it a 'hobbit door'.
One night we tried to use the fire place; one of the sections kept going out and the fumes were terrible, quite possibly dangerous if you do not use it with a window open - to be fair it does say in the hand book for the apartment that when using the fire you need to have the window open, which in my view defeats the whole object - so we gave up on that idea.
The evening of our arrival the heating was not working well and there was only enough hot water for one person to have a bath, so we phoned `Chamonix-all-year and they got on to it straight away. There was a man round in no time to fix the problem, which he did. I would also like to add that Chamonix-all-year said that if it was not fixed that they would relocate us, we did not even have to ask.
And Finally:
Another thumbs up for Chamonix-all-year; as due to sparse snow cover and no snow fall until two days before we left and man flu on those days, my husband and I decided to get our whole are lift passes reimbursed. Chamonix-all-year dealt with this for us - above and beyond the call of duty I call that - Many thanks !!
I would like to round off with saying that the few quibbles that I/we had about the apartment would not stop us from booking it again and we would most definitely book through Chamonix-all-year again, if the service they gave from time of booking to arriving home and reimbursement of tickets at home in the UK is anything to go by.

5/5 - Just spent a week here. The apartment is fab, home from home and then some. Extremely Well appointed and comfortable with eye for detail. Espresso maker, candles, excellent sound system.
The building itself really is Majestic!!
Excellent situation less than 5 mins from centre of town but in quiet area. The views from the large picture window in the lounge area are breathtaking and ever changing wi the weather.
Chamonix All Year very helpful and accommodating too.

Chamonix is an excellent base for summer alpine activities and our apartment at Le Majestic enhanced our experience. The apartment is in a peaceful location a couple of minutes walk from town; it was spotlessly clean with great facilities and wonderful views. Home from home and then some. There were only 2 of us but it would comfortably accommodate more. We hope to return.
Vicky Poole - UK. June 2012
Overall apartment was very nice, clean and comfortable. The ground staff was also helpful and arranged some our specific requests. We highly recommend this apartment to other families.

Hi Nick and Jo,

We left you deservedly good feedback on the website as requested. The pre arrival information was excellent and Flo was extremely helpful, friendly, prompt (despite me not giving her much warning of our early arrival) and comprehensive in her instructions (great English too). The apartment in Le Majestic was absolutely delightful, beautifully furnished, very tastefully decorated and in a great location.

We intend to come back sometime in the near future.

Thanks again for looking after us.

Kind regards,

David and Mary-Ellen Hempel, Sept 2011

Dear Nick and Jo,

We had a lovely time in Chamonix and was lucky that the weather was good.

The apartment we had was nice and very well equipped. The lady who welcomed us was thorough on the procedures and explanations regarding the apartment and Chamonix as a whole. The location of the Majestic was very ideal; a walking distance to all the amenities and facilities. The condiments(salt, pepper, oil etc) were very much welcomed. The unit was very clean upon our arrival which is a very important factor for us.

Thank you and regards,

Pierre-Olivier and Zurah Deplanck, July 2011
